How do I get to the Chinese Theater?

Movies leave very little in the physical world. Entertainers age and die, studios go bankrupt and sell their lots to condo developers, and even film stock deteriorates. Hollywood itself has decayed into a greasy neighborhood populated with crazy and dangerous drug addicts, the homeless and runaways. So watch your step and avoid talking to strangers.

That said, Hollywood is still an important part of movie history and The Chinese Theater (officially known as the TLC Chinese Theater (http://www.tclchinesetheatres.com) is easily the centerpiece of anyone interested in visiting the area and piecing together the town’s past through its remaining relics today.

There are several ways of getting there from LAX. And the trade off is time for money.

Going by Metro :

The good news is you can take a free shuttle bus from LAX to the LAX Green Line Station. From there you’ll want to go to Hollywood and Highland, which takes you just steps away from the Theater. The Metro’s Website has a number of great tools you can use to easily plan your LA adventures. Visit http://www.metro.net to get started.

Going by Flyaway bus:

Taking a Flyaway bus might get you there a little faster. Stand under the Flyaways sign outside the arrivals and take the one that says Union Station. From there, you take the Metro Red Line subway train to Hollywood Highland Station. Click http://www.lawa.org/welcome_LAX.aspx?id=292 for more information
